As a recipient of the HPV vaccine myself, this work stayed very close to my heart. Gardasil 9 is nearly 100% effective at preventing HPV’s related cancers. Namely—cervical cancer.
Our team led the consumer, HCP, adult, and adolescent business for US and Canadian markets. Then, we took on the global brand with a campaign that flew us to South Africa for a two week shoot.
Here’s a series of work from Europe to China to Southeast Asia, to right here at home.
Agency: Klick Health
Our :60 OLV focuses on the stories we are all writing for ourselves. HPV-related cancers shouldn’t take hold of them. The following work includes print and banner ads that are currently going live.
Those who seek out the vaccinations they need are people motivated by numbers. With efficacy this high, the HPV vaccine is a no-brainer when it comes to cancer prevention. And so became the “Data-Driven” campaign. Our 60 second spot is above followed by accompanying print and banner ads.
Our 2024 campaign takes a meta route. The cast here thinks they’re not the right fit for a G9 commercial because they’re too old, married, male, etc. When in fact they’re just right. Any eligible adult under 45 can, and should, receive their HPV vax. A lot of this work has yet to launch, but here’s a little behind-the-scenes action.
“One-Take Wendy,” as we called her on set, is a huge advocate for HPV vaccination. She knows that framing the conversation correctly with her patients can make all the difference. Her elevator pitch—”If there was a vaccine that prevented 99% of breast cancers, would you take it?”
Tweens have their own milestones. Sometimes, they’re less than desirable for parents. But getting HPV vaccination before exposure can be a milestone that helps protect their children for what’s next. Just like they’ve always done. Above is our 30 second spot still running, followed by accompanying banners.
What happens when a client runs with your team’s crazy ideas:
- You stare at phallic vegetables all day.
- You learn that a bend in an erection is actually no joke
- You help create a branded campaign for XIAFLEX, then take on the unbranded.
- You decide not to tell your family exactly what you’ve been working on.
- You realize Colin Jost, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes are talking about your ads, and that’s just insane.
This was certainly a campaign to remember, and all carrots aside, we were proud to create language for men who have a tough time talking about sensitive business.
Agency: Klick Health
It started with an old campaign with all different kinds of vegetables. Then, the carrot became our star.
We’re all guilty of falling into an internet holes, but it can be scary when it replaces real healthcare. This campaign encourages men to get out of the spiral, and reach out for the help they need.

Teva tapped us to brand their new “Digihaler” - a digital inhaler that connects to your phone and tracks how often you’re using your medication. Our campaign ideas centered around how asthmatics should be focusing on their lives, not what the rest of us do without thinking—breathe.
For all who want to dream big and drive home safe, AAA says: Go Ahead. Should you find yourself flat, stalled, or inside a ditch,* AAA is behind you. Literally.
The campaign solved AAA’s need look appealing to new members (your teenager) without losing the loyalty of existing customers (your dad). Out-of-home and digital advertising ran on the east coast and in the mid-west, and included a brand extension for the AAA Plus Membership.
*Me. I was in the ditch. I sold my car. It was for the best.

Here you’ll find the 30 second spot we wrote and produced for the AAA Plus Membership brand extension, “When Going Big is Best.” Followed by print, radio, swag, and art for the main campaign “Go Ahead.”
The direction above was the one not chosen, and played up the freedom and connection you feel with the open road.
Written with Jack Kerouac in mind and Springsteen blasting.
Temple University isn’t trying to run with Philadelphia’s big shots like Penn or Drexel. But they won’t stand in their shadows either. The Owls stand tall on their own, and if you don’t have anything nice to say, say it to their face. An unstoppable Philly spirit.
Coming off of the successful #TempleMade campaign, the university wanted a fresh look and tone. We rebranded and boasted all their greatest achievements.
Out-of-home and digital ads ran across the greater Philadelphia area.

ECU was built to give underserved students a leg up—and that it does, extremely well.
We were hired to create a capital campaign that drives donations to the Pirates—the kind of Pirates who search for riches much more valuable than gold.
This campaign included print, digital, event branding, and donation engagement.

There is a warm, toasty center inside of all of us, and it’s the good inside that really matters. Love. Happiness. Jelly. Whatever good you’ve got, spread it around. A Thomas’ English Muffin has the nooks for your peanuts and the crannies for your cranberries. AKA, the perfect vehicle for all the foods you love.
Thomas’ tapped us for social activations and content that highlighted the goodness of their classic “nook and cranny” English Muffins.

Let’s get one thing straight: this is not “wooder” ice. This is Luigi’s REAL ITALIAN Ice. As an Italian who enjoys sweets that bring me back to my grade school “walk-a-thon,” writing for Luigi’s was a treat.
We wrote jokes for packaging, made every pun possible, and had a blast creating illustrations for Luigi’s timeline. The results were quite fruitful.

Rutgers University was hungry for more national recognition and wanted a stronger sense of pride coming from the New Brunswick campus. The result was a campaign and an anthem spot that highlights deep Jersey roots that never stop growing.

Everything the University of Dayton does is for the common good of us all. But that doesn’t just mean kindness and good deeds. It means an entire university working together to create better leaders who address the needs of the community head on.
This anthem spot was created to drive admissions and ran on local TV and social channels.

Restaurant owners Kirk and Lisa wanted to clarify that cheese plates aren’t just for fancy foodies. They needed fun, casual ads that pictured you underneath a slew of twinkle lights—cheese and panini in hand. If you’re into roughin' it with the commoners, that is.
These ads introduced their arrival on the sandwich scene in the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Walnut Street Theater Playbill. Unfortunately, Kirk and Lisa decided to end their restaurant adventures. I just wanted you to know how much I love writing about cheese.

Eleonora Barbieri created Baby Steps Maternity Counseling to lend an extra hand to Philadelphia’s busiest parents. She needed some simple branding that would catch the attention of those seeking doula experts, nanny care, and general human-raising advice.
We created pamphlets & postcards for resident Supermoms and dads who felt they needed a little adult supervision.

This charming college in western Georgia needed a little sprucing up and a lot more intrigue. Fortunately, intrigue is what they’re all about. This institution welcomes the curious, letting students know that it’s okay to wander in life—sometimes that’s exactly how you find out where you’re headed.
This rebrand includes print, web, and out-of-home advertising.

After visiting Wheeling Island Casino, we knew we could go as outrageous as possible when crafting their new identity. That means, somewhere in West Virginia, a casino lobby is adorned with rainbow unicorns because of something we brainstormed at three in the morning.
Here’s one of three commercials we created for “The Wheeling Feeling.” The feeling you get when you walk in the casino door—joy, happiness, and even feeling young again. Unfortunately, Agatha and Eloise wouldn’t let me be their adopted grandchild.
